Two crows walk around the ground bickering. A skeleton holds a vertebra and skull who keeps talking, by by the neck pointing the fickle finger of fate at him. Original art by Bob Orsillo
A Life in Light and Shadow Bob Orsillo has always been drawn to the power of light and shadow. This fascination manifested in a dual pursuit: the meticulous precision of photography and the grand storytelling of cinematography. As both a photographer and a cinematographer, Bob has carved a unique path in the artistic world. Orsillo's journey began with photography, capturing still moments that resonated with a deeper truth. He developed a keen eye for composition, using light and shadow to evoke emotions and tell stories within a single frame. This foundation in photography informs his work as a cinematographer, where he orchestrates moving landscapes of light and shadow to bring narratives to life on the screen. As a cinematographer,...

Ok...you got us all "interested" again! great work! My take on this is.....I teach in a therapy pool. I know a lot of people who would love to trade in there neck and spine for a new one. The fickle finger of fate is pointing to no more pain, I'm taking charge...trading in for a new...... The crows are symbolism for a couple squacking over... take charge of your health!!.................
Bob Orsillo replied:
Excellent joy this is great! ;)

Excellent art and stories ... Although the first thing that popped into my brain was "I have a bone to pick with you." Wiki says ... A "bone to pick" is thus a subject or issue that is expected to require considerable discussion or argument. A similar phrase, "bone of contention," meaning an issue over which two people argue, also dates back to the 1500s and refers, appropriately, to two dogs fighting over an especially choice bone. ;- }
Bob Orsillo replied:
Awesome Gwyn! Thank you :)

Marvelous artistic creation, Bob!! This is my story and I'm "sticking" to it: The two crows and two complete skeletons had moments earlier been square dancing. One crow, who had clearly heard enough babble from the female skeleton who is shorter with wider child-bearing hips and apparently talks excessively, tripped her. As she falls apart, her male partner who has full physical control tries to save what is left of her. As she natters at him for his failure to come to the rescue, crow #1 says "I didn't do it" as crow #2 chuckles. Perturbed male skeleton must decide female's fate. Two light sources show that there are two sides to every story. Love it, Bob!! v/f/t/+1
Bob Orsillo replied:
LOL you have got me on this on this one Hanne. Great story.
