"I love power. But it is as an artist that I love it. I love it as a musician loves his violin, to draw out its sounds and chords and harmonies."
Napoleon Bonaparte
Violin - a stringed musical instrument of treble pitch, played with a horsehair bow. The classical European violin was developed in the 16th century. It has four strings and a body of characteristic rounded shape, narrowed at the middle and with two f-shaped sound holes.

I had to come back and look again...this one keeps coming to mind since I first saw it...it is just awesome...somehow, for some reason it speaks to me...wonder if it is because my 5 year old daughter wants to play the violin and this is how I would hope her music sounds...beautiful...

Very cool image. I used to play classical violin. And now my grandson has my instrument and is continuing the tradition. 'round these parts, they call them fiddles. :) Beautiful post processing. Vote.

:) Isn't great when we can pass something on to the grandkids ... You reminded me of something Alison Krauss said "You know, if you really want to fiddle the old-time way, you've got to learn the dance. The contra-dances, hoedowns. It's all in the rhythm of the bow. The great North Carolina fiddle player Tommy Jarrell said, 'If a feller can't bow, he'll never make a fiddler. He might make a violin player, but he'll never make no fiddler."
