Rebirth #1 metal print by Bob Orsillo. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. When one hears the term "dark fantasy", images of "horror" immediately come to mind. However, dark fantasy is much more than that. It is a genre that can be used to explore the human psyche, to place characters in situations that are both frightening and enlightening. It is a genre that allows for both hope and despair, for tragedy and triumph.
Bob Orsillo's "Weird Scenes Inside the Goldmine" is a perfect example of dark fantasy done right. The series of paintings is a surreal journey into the mind of a shaman, where we are shown both the light and the dark that exists within us all.
