Nighttime in the Laundromat.
Some people come in to get warm.
Others like to sit watch the dries go round and round.
A few are looking to connect - especially on a Thursday night.
And some come in to do laundry.
Some people will tell you their life story.
Other give you slight but knowing nod.
But none talk about the art on the wall

If only my old laundromat days were this beautiful (perhaps I would have not dreaded laundry days :) Love your Shoe Leather Express Portfolio!!!

I bet the art really draws in the customers. You can't wash your clothes at the museum. v/f

I'd still like to know why that painting - but there was no -one there to ask ;))

This stop on the shoe leather express offers so much...all the way down to the lattice work on the far right. The hot towels coming out of the dryer were always my favorite to fold...easy and comforting in their warmth on a cold evening. Greatness! v/f

That would be rather discouraging if that one piece of art on the wall was your creation. Very nice image and story, Bob.

This one put a smile on my face! Not only is it great photography but thought provoking...I hadn't used a laundry mat for a long time...but when took my kids to Maine we could not use the washer in the house because of the septic tank. Sooo I was forced to go to the laundry matt, I wish there was art on the wall...I would have been the one looking at it!! F/V

Like this, Bob- there's something very down to earth about visiting a laundromat and as Cori mentioned, "The great equalizer!" Like the way that each dryer door relfects it's own unique scene!!

Wonderful surreal photo . . . the Laundromat .. the Great Equalizer . . everyones got to wash their clothes sooner or later . . .search for the quarters and watch the machines go round and around ;-) Love the different scenes in the dryer windows. f/v

Like the expression and reflection in this awesome capture Bob - Chris :-)) (F/V)

One would expect the photographer to be reflected. Without that, the viewer is left feeling very lonely. another great creation! vfsu

Every dryer door seems to have it's own little piece of art too. Well done, Bob. Love it. f/v ;-)

Sensational, Bob!!! Although I am not a fan of doing laundry, this is just too clever - there is more to laundromat art than meets the eye! v/f/+1
